PT. Pengelola Limbah Kutai Kartanagara (PT. PLKK) provides services of solid control by applying a closed loop system. The mechanism is also known as drilling without waste disposal. System of closed waste circulation reduces size of waste hole or sludge. The system allows the production operator to recycle a number of waste, and minimize the amount of fluid that is removed.

During the drilling phase, some field experts of PT. PLKK are monitoring equipments and waste disposal. The monitoring is carried out for 24 hours to ensure the system is working as efficiently as possible. This step also provides recommendations for change equipment for subsequent drilling activities.

In addition to waste minimization, system monitoring, and equipment recommendations at site, scope of work of solid control also include system design and its construction, dewatering and waste water treatment as well as maintenance and disposal of drilling waste. Activity of solid control can be carried out in-situ or ex-situ with the use of mobile technologies.

PT. PLKK serves solid control systems and hazardous waste treatment until its final stage (disposal).
