WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT
PT. Pengelola Limbah Kutai Kartanagara (PT. PLKK) provides treatment services of waste water that comes from exploration and production of petroleum and natural gas, as well as mining. The type and characteristic of waste water are in accordance with performance of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) that is built and or installed at PT. PLKK’s operation area in Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara. The installation is not only able to treat waste water that comes directly from industrial activities, but it also can able to treat waste water from oil sludge processing.
Every unit of PT. PLKK has a function, from adjusting degree of acidity (pH) of waste water to deposition of fine particles. If the quality has not met the standards yet, the waste water is circulated back. WWTP of PT. PLKK is an equipped special unit that is useful to reduce heavy metal concentrations up to 99% by utilizing an electric current.
For waste water effluent quality of processed WWTP, PT. PLKK refers to the effluent standards which are stated in the Decree of Bupati Kutai Kartanegara No. 660.1/002/B.II.I/BLHD/III/2011 of Waste Water Disposal Permit. The standard defines the quality of waste water effluent for every physical and chemical parameter.
In addition to waste water treatment which are carried out by ex situ in Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara, PT. PLKK also provides in-situ processing services. PT. PLKK has mobile units, which can be installed at location activity of customer.
